Grandfather/Grandmother Movements and kits

These movements are all 8-day, weight driven with chains or cables. They are supplied complete with weights, brass weight shells, whitewood pendulum rod with brass bob, chains or cables, gong rods or bells (as stated), fittings, hands and fitting instructions. Click Here

Regulator Movements

All movements except the HC310 & HC360 are 8-day. The weight driven movements include polished bob and weight shells and all movements include fittings (including keys and pendulum indicators) and fitting instructions. Click Here

Pendulums

Please note that the pendulum length indicated comprises the pendulum rod and any extension and suspension spring. Although most pendulums are relatively very accurate, changes in temperature can marginally affect their length. Compensating pendulums allow for these changes in temperature to give your clock an even higher degree of accuracy. The standard pendulum can be substituted for an alternative pendulum design. An allowance for the standard pendulum will be made in these instances please contact us for details.

Seconds Feature (S/F)

Includes facility for a seconds hand.

Seconds Beat (S/B)

The pendulum ticks from side to side once every second.

Triple Chime (T/C) Westminster

Bim Bam (B/B)

Bell (B) Strikes the hours and the half hour on a single bell.

Automatic Night Silence (ANS)

Allows the chime to be on or off all the time or to be silent after the 10.00pm chime until 7.15am.

Maintaining Power (M/P)

Allows the clock to carry on working while it is being rewound.

Maltese Cross Stopwork (M/C)

Prevents Overwinding.

Measurements

Width and height measurements are plate sizes. Depth includes centre shaft and gong fixing. Allow another 10 .15mm for hood depth from glass to back of case.
